This policy covers the personal data you send us through this website. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Eduscale Solutions Limited, an Irish company registered with the Companies Registration Office under number 727644. You can reach us at [email protected].
Our registered office is on the public register and you can look it up yourself: search company number 727644 at core.cro.ie. We do not print it here because it is a private residence. If you need to write to us on paper rather than by email, ask and we will tell you where to send it.
What this site is
Insulation Dublin is a referral service. We do not install insulation. We take your enquiry and pass it to independent contractors registered with SEAI so they can quote for the work. Any contract for work is between you and the contractor.
What we collect, and why
- What you type into the enquiry form — your name, phone number, area or Eircode, the type of home, the measure you are interested in, and, if you choose to give them, your email address and anything you write in the notes field. We collect this so contractors can quote for your job and contact you about it.
- Aggregate page statistics — how many people read a page and roughly where they arrived from. Cookie-free, stored nothing on your device, and none of it identifies you. If you ring us, the call goes through a tracking number so we know which page produced it; the call itself is not recorded. See our cookie policy.
We do not ask for and do not want financial details, PPS numbers, or anything about your health or household circumstances beyond what a contractor needs to quote.
Our legal basis
- Enquiry details: steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in operating a referral service. You are asking to be put in touch with contractors, and that is what we do with it.
- Analytics: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share it with
We pass your enquiry to SEAI-registered contractors who work in your area, so they can quote. We tell you who they are. We do not sell your details, we do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not pass them to anyone who is not quoting for your job.
Contractors receiving your details are independent data controllers in their own right and handle your data under their own privacy policies.
We also use service providers who process data on our behalf — website hosting and email delivery. They act on our instructions only.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for 24 months from your last contact with us, so we can deal with any question about a job we referred, and then deleted. If you ask us to delete your enquiry sooner, we will.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and ask for your data in a portable format. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Data Protection Commission, dataprotection.ie.
Calls
We do not record calls. If that ever changes we will tell you at the start of the call and update this policy first.
